PRESS PRODUCTION

These press production examples are not my designs, but rather projects that I worked on as a production designer, being responsible for getting all of the files technically correct for final production. The point is to illustrate the degree of complexity and scale I can produce that is accurate and on time.
THINKING BIG
While working with the great designers at Real Estate Arts, and currently The Howard Hughes Corporation, I pre-pressed these large-scale window displays and barricade wraps. I was also involved in image editing and correction to ensure the image reproduced as desired at the scale reproduced and to correct any distracting elements of the image that would be obvious at this size.
This is just one of over 350 panels for windows, walls, barricades, stage, kiosks, barriers, etc., I had to prepare for press under extremely tight deadlines in order to have all installed in time for Downtown Summerlin's Grand Opening in October 2014. I had to make sure all would reproduce well, make rush edits and layouts and often had to readjust to client's last-minute changes. It was hell, but I got it done, and the grand opening was a huge success. I did not design them, but had to conform the designer's vision to fit the real-world application.
This is just one view of an enormous "booth" for The Howard Hughes Corporation at the 2014 ICSC Convention in Las Vegas. I had to prepare not only the skin/wrap inside and out, but also prepared content for the video walls (although I did not do the video editing).

BEING COMPLEX
Again, while working at Real Estate Arts I was involved in the image editing as well as pre-pressing, impositioning, and other corrective measures to ensure the designer's intention would reproduced correctly no matter how complex the designer's vision.
This was a clam shell, mirror perfect bound book. I had to do the Impositioning as the print vendor would not. It was a challenge to ensure accuracy given the size and mixed arrangement of the pages of the book.
Not really complex, pre se, but shows another non-standard impositioning and prepressing project on which I worked. This was an accordion fold brochure sandwiched between two acrylic placards. I was also involved in other image editing/correction functions.
Another example of pre-pressing I performed. This involved UV and stamping/embossing in addition to other standard clean-ups.
